Paul Kankowski

Paul was born in San Diego and has lived in California for most of his life.  Paul graduated from the University of San Diego and received a masters in Education.  He was in education as a math teacher and administrator for 17 years. As many of us do, he first managed a rental property by keeping and renting out his personal home when he moved to a new home.  Throughout his teaching career, Paul was an active investor buying properties throughout the United States.  In 2010, Paul received his realtor license and started working with his wife, Christine, flipping houses.  He became a broker and started House Match in 2014. At first, property management was only a side business for friends and family, but after taking the courses and learning the industry, the business was opened to the public.

This year, Paul was a featured speaker at the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM)  Conference in San Diego which was attended by over 500 property managers.   He has led conferences on systems and in January 2019 worked with 40 property managers from around the country on creating better systems for your business.  He is on numerous National committees with NARPM to promote and make the industry better. 

When Paul is not working his favorite thing to do is to spend time with his family.  He has two kids, Kelly (15) and David (14) and an amazing wife Christine, who works with him.  Paul loves running and has completed numerous marathons and ultra-marathons.  His longest run was the Angeles Crest100 mile race.  Yes 100 miles! in 32 hours. He has competed in 4 Ironman Triathlons which is a 140.6 mile race including 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride, followed by a 26.2 mile run.  He loves skiing, mountain biking, hiking, swimming and being active.  His favorite place to go to relax is Mammoth Mountain.

Christine Kankowski

Christine has an Economics degree from UC San Diego, and a Masters degree in Business Administration . She started her career in Accounting and Human Resources, but became a full time real estate agent in 2008. The business background has helped in every aspect of the developing and growing the House Match company. She is in charge of our Sales division helping owners buy and sell their rental property.  If you are on the lookout acquire a new home or investment property,  she is the one to contact. 

In her spare time, Christine loves to play indoor volleyball, tennis and go hiking.  She also loves watching the kids play their sports – mainly tennis and track. 

Drew Butterfield

Property Manager
 

Drew joined the team in 2017, he is our property manager. Drew loves to maintain the properties in excellent conditions. Outside of the office, he coaches youth soccer and when he has the energy he also plays the game.

Linda has worked in customer service for many years, and she’s very passionate about it, so you can be sure she will go the extra mile to ensure our customer needs are met.

Linda has worked in customer service for many years, and she’s very passionate about it, so you can be sure she will go the extra mile to ensure our customer needs are met. Has a degree in business administration and chemistry, though her lifelong dream was to become a veterinarian. She loves animals, especially dogs, and has been an animal rescuer since she was a little girl. Current members of her family include four dogs and a cat!

Jesus has worked in the customer service area for more than 10 years. He studied Education. His favorite things to do are spending time with his family and he really enjoys watching baseball. Jesus has a beautiful wife & 2 children. 

Hugo Gutierrez

Hugo grew up in So-Cal and has worked in customer service for most of his career, and enjoys helping customers to the fullest extent. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, making cocktails, the outdoors, and being active. Although Hugo has never run a 100-mile marathon, he once ran a full half a block to catch up to the ice-cream truck.

Carter Butterfield

Property Assessment Specialist  
 

Carter does the Interior and Exterior Property Assessment, he performs many of our move in, move out and other inspections. He graduated from Great Oak High School in 2017 and currently studies in Palomar College. In his spare time he enjoys playing football and soccer.

David Flores is our Operations Supervisor, he plans and coordinates the operations of the company to make us more efficient and effective.

Systems Manager

David Flores is our Operations Supervisor, he plans and coordinates the operations of the company to make us more efficient and effective. On his own time he enjoys motorcycle riding on the open road. Carpentry is also among his most enjoyed hobbies. His favorite dish is Fried Fish “Red Snapper”. He is notoriously afraid of heights, however, he says bungee jumping is on his bucket list but, skydiving would be too much. 

Michelle Ortega 

Marketing Coordinator

Michelle is on the creative side of the business, she has a Bachelors Degree in Design and is part of our marketing team. She creates creative content for our social media and marketing strategies.  In her free time, she loves going mountain biking, painting and walking her dog.
